Terms of Service
Last updated 22 September 2026.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of becometankready.com and your purchase of the Become Tank Ready private mentorship program (the "Program") and any ebook, audiobook, guide or other digital product sold by us ("Digital Products"). By purchasing, enrolling, or using a paid service, you agree to these Terms together with our Refund & Guarantee Policy, Privacy Policy and Legal Notice.
1. Who We Are
Become Tank Ready is operated in India by Raghav Mahajan, Proprietor, trading as KIMCHI Industries ("Become Tank Ready", "BTR", "we", "us", "our"). Business and contact details are stated in our Legal Notice.
2. Independent Service — No Shark Tank Affiliation
Become Tank Ready is an independent mentorship and publishing service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to Shark Tank, Shark Tank India, Sony Pictures Television, Sony Pictures Networks India, Sony LIV, ABC, Disney, or their producers, investors, affiliates or licensors. References to Shark Tank describe the subject of our preparation services and Raghav Mahajan's own publicly aired experience.
3. Nature of the Program
The Program is private 1-to-1 preparation with Raghav Mahajan for a founder's Shark Tank journey. Depending on the founder's stage, work may include application positioning, founder story, business numbers, pitch structure, question preparation, mock pitches, objection handling and preparation for later rounds. The Program is a preparation and mentorship service. It is not an application to Shark Tank, a casting service, an investment-banking service, legal advice, financial advice, tax advice, securities advice or a guarantee of any outcome.
4. Program Fee and Payment
The current India Program fee is ₹2,00,000 plus applicable GST. Where GST is 18%, the checkout total is ₹2,36,000. The final amount and taxes shown at checkout control if tax rates or applicable law change. Unless a separate written offer expressly says otherwise, the Program is a one-time purchase and not a monthly subscription or recurring charge.
For an international customer paying through an INR checkout, the card issuer or payment provider may apply its own exchange rate, foreign-transaction charge or bank fee. Those charges are controlled by the provider, not by BTR.
5. No Selection, Filming, Investment or Business-Result Guarantee
Except for the specific Money-Back Guarantee, Try Again Guarantee and ₹2 Lakh Marketing Guarantee described below, we do not promise or warrant selection, casting, filming, broadcast, an investment offer, completion of a deal, any valuation, sales, leads, publicity, growth, profitability or any other business result. All casting, filming, editing and broadcast decisions are made by the relevant network and production company. Investor decisions and post-show due diligence are made by the relevant investors and parties.
6. Money-Back Guarantee
Your first completed live 1-to-1 video meeting with Raghav after payment is your protected decision point. If the mentorship is not right for you, you may request cancellation and a refund under our Money-Back Guarantee within 24 hours after that first meeting ends and before any second 1-to-1 mentorship meeting takes place.
The refund request must be made in the manner stated in our Refund & Guarantee Policy. The guarantee may be used once per founder/business. After that window expires, Program payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or separately agreed in writing.
7. Try Again Guarantee
If you pay the full Program fee, participate in the preparation process in good faith, timely complete the application or stage requirements within your control, and your Shark Tank journey for the season you are preparing for ends because you are not selected to progress, BTR will include your Shark Tank preparation for one next applicable season at no additional mentorship fee.
For this guarantee, non-selection includes a communicated rejection or the applicable season closing without your further progression after you timely completed the relevant requirements. It does not include voluntary withdrawal, failure to submit required materials or attend a required stage, ineligibility caused by inaccurate information, or conduct that materially breaches these Terms.
The Try Again Guarantee is continued preparation, not a cash refund, credit or transferable benefit. It applies to the same founder and substantially the same business unless BTR agrees otherwise in writing. Being selected, cast or filmed but not receiving an investment, not closing a deal, or not being satisfied with the episode does not by itself trigger the Try Again Guarantee. If the next season is cancelled, indefinitely delayed, or the format changes so materially that equivalent preparation is not reasonably possible, BTR may provide the closest reasonably available equivalent preparation support.
8. ₹2 Lakh Marketing Guarantee
If, after preparing with Become Tank Ready under the Program, an episode featuring the enrolled founder and business is actually publicly broadcast or released as an official Shark Tank episode, and the founder remains in good standing under these Terms, BTR will fund and manage up to ₹2,00,000 of co-branded marketing for that founder's brand.
The trigger is actual official public broadcast or release. Shortlisting, selection, casting, filming, a tentative air date, appearing in promotional material, receiving an investment offer, or signing a deal does not by itself trigger the Marketing Guarantee.
The ₹2,00,000 is a managed marketing budget. It is not cash payable to the founder, a refund of the Program fee, a reimbursement, investment, loan, equity contribution, revenue share, prize or store credit. It cannot be withdrawn, transferred, assigned, exchanged for cash, or used to offset any amount owed to BTR.
BTR will deploy the budget directly toward agreed campaign activity. Eligible expenditure may include paid-media spend, platform charges and taxes, external creative production, editing, design, landing-page campaign work, retargeting, founder-story content, creator or media costs, or other third-party growth activity selected for the campaign. BTR's ordinary mentorship fee is not charged against the ₹2,00,000 budget. The maximum aggregate financial commitment by BTR under this guarantee is ₹2,00,000, inclusive of applicable third-party platform fees and taxes paid from the campaign budget.
The campaign is intentionally co-branded so it can market both the founder's brand and Become Tank Ready. By accepting or claiming this guarantee, you grant BTR a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license for the campaign period to use your business name, logo, founder name, approved photographs/video, product imagery, factual founder journey and approved testimonial material in co-branded campaign creative, including statements such as "Prepared with Become Tank Ready" or "Become Tank Ready x [Brand]". This license does not grant BTR rights to third-party Shark Tank, Sony, ABC, production-company footage, logos, music or other intellectual property, and neither party may use such third-party material without the necessary rights.
BTR controls the campaign channels, media mix, timing, creative format and allocation of the ₹2,00,000 budget in consultation with the founder. The campaign may run from BTR-controlled advertising accounts, founder-controlled accounts, or a combination. BTR will use commercially reasonable efforts to activate the campaign around the broadcast opportunity, but deployment depends on platform approval, account access, creative readiness, website readiness, inventory or service capacity and other operational factors.
You must reasonably cooperate by providing required brand assets, permissions, product information, website or advertising-account access where needed, timely creative approvals, inventory/service readiness and legally compliant claims. If an advertising platform rejects or restricts the product or creative, required access is unavailable, the founder delays approvals, the website cannot accept traffic, inventory/service capacity is unavailable, or deployment would create legal, regulatory, platform-policy or reputational risk, BTR may pause, reallocate, defer or substitute reasonably equivalent marketing activity. Refusal to permit the agreed co-branding or failure to provide reasonable cooperation may suspend the guarantee until the issue is resolved.
The Marketing Guarantee guarantees the defined marketing support only. It does not guarantee impressions, reach, press coverage, leads, sales, return on ad spend, profitability or any other campaign result.
9. Founder Responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about your business, numbers, ownership, intellectual property, claims, compliance status and application. You remain responsible for every statement you submit to a network, investor, customer or the public. You agree to participate in scheduled preparation in good faith and to complete reasonable preparation work and deadlines. Delays or missed opportunities caused by your own unavailability, incomplete information, missed deadlines or inaccurate information do not create a right to refund or an extension except where BTR agrees in writing.
10. Scheduling and Delivery
Meetings are scheduled by mutual availability or through the booking process made available to you. A missed meeting or late cancellation may be rescheduled at BTR's discretion. The Program is designed around the founder's applicable Shark Tank preparation journey and does not promise unlimited meetings, unlimited on-demand access or perpetual advisory support. Any material scope outside Shark Tank preparation must be separately agreed.
11. Public Exposure, Filming and Investor Negotiations
Applying for or appearing on a televised investment show involves public and commercial risks, including scrutiny, editing, disclosure of information and investor due diligence. BTR does not control production, editing, storyline, broadcast, public reaction or investor conduct. Any investment offer and legal documentation are negotiated directly between you and the relevant investor(s). BTR is not a party to those agreements unless separately agreed in writing.
12. Confidentiality
We will treat non-public business information you provide in the Program as confidential and use it to deliver the Program, administer our relationship and perform the purposes described in our Privacy Policy. This does not apply to information already public, independently known to us, lawfully received from another source, approved by you for disclosure, or required to be disclosed by law. The co-branding permissions under the Marketing Guarantee and any separately approved testimonial/publicity are exceptions to this confidentiality obligation.
13. Our Intellectual Property
All BTR frameworks, question banks, methods, templates, curricula, written materials, videos, exercises, website content and Digital Product content remain owned by BTR or its licensors. Unless we expressly permit otherwise in writing, you receive a personal, non-transferable right to use Program materials for your own business and preparation only. You may not resell, publish, distribute, sublicense, upload to public repositories, use to train an AI model, or create a competing commercial product from our proprietary materials.
14. Your Brand Assets and Content
You retain ownership of your business name, logo, product imagery and other materials you provide. You represent that you have the rights needed for us to use materials you submit. Outside the specific Marketing Guarantee license, we will not use confidential business materials in public advertising without your permission. If you voluntarily provide a testimonial, review, recorded interview or approved marketing asset, you grant BTR a non-exclusive worldwide royalty-free license to use that approved material for BTR marketing unless a written agreement states otherwise.
15. Digital Products
Digital Products are separate from the Program unless expressly bundled at checkout. Purchasing a Digital Product does not include 1-to-1 mentorship, the Try Again Guarantee or the ₹2 Lakh Marketing Guarantee. Digital-product refund rules are stated in our Refund & Guarantee Policy. Digital Products are licensed for personal use and may not be redistributed, resold, publicly shared or commercially reproduced.
16. Privacy, Communications and AI-Assisted Work
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. We may use software, automation and AI-assisted tools to help organize information, draft communications, summarize notes and operate the business. Operational messages necessary to deliver a purchase may be sent by email, WhatsApp or other contact method you provide. Marketing communications are subject to applicable consent and opt-out rules.
17. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate Program access for material breach, abusive or unlawful conduct, deliberate misrepresentation, unauthorized redistribution of our materials, non-payment, fraud, or an improper payment dispute. Where reasonably possible, we will first notify you and give you an opportunity to address a curable breach. A valid termination for material breach may end unused discretionary benefits and guarantees to the extent permitted by law. Non-waivable consumer rights remain unaffected.
18. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us first at raghav@becometankready.com. We may contest an unsupported chargeback using records of payment, accepted Terms, meeting attendance, Program access and work delivered. A refund or successful chargeback of the Program fee ends future Program access and any unused Try Again or Marketing Guarantee associated with that purchase, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
19. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Program, Digital Products and website are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted access, error-free third-party platforms, any particular casting or investor decision, or any particular business outcome. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty, right or remedy that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.
20. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BTR and Raghav Mahajan will not be liable for indirect, special, incidental, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, lost profits, lost opportunity, loss of goodwill, production/editorial decisions, investor decisions, or third-party platform actions arising from the Program, website or Digital Products. Subject to non-waivable law and the separate ₹2 Lakh Marketing Guarantee obligation, our aggregate monetary liability arising from a Program purchase will not exceed the amount actually paid to BTR for that Program purchase. Nothing limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
21. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify BTR and Raghav Mahajan against third-party claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful conduct, infringement of third-party rights, materially false product/business claims supplied by you, misuse of our materials, or breach of these Terms. This provision does not apply to losses caused by our own unlawful conduct to the extent applicable law provides otherwise.
22. Force Majeure and Third-Party Platforms
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including network/production schedule changes, cancellation or postponement of a season, government action, platform outages, payment-provider failures, advertising-platform restrictions, internet disruption or other comparable events. We will use reasonable efforts to provide the closest practical performance where an applicable guarantee is affected.
23. Changes to the Program or Terms
We may improve or update Program processes and these Terms prospectively. A material change will not retroactively remove a guarantee already included in a paid founder's purchase. The version accepted at purchase, together with any later written agreement accepted by both parties, governs that purchase.
24. Governing Law and Disputes
For India-based Program purchases, these Terms are governed by the laws of India. The parties will first attempt to resolve a dispute in good faith. Subject to any non-waivable right to approach a competent consumer commission, regulator or court, disputes may be referred to arbitration in Delhi in English before a sole arbitrator under applicable Indian arbitration law.
For customers outside India, mandatory consumer-protection and privacy rights in the customer's jurisdiction continue to apply where they cannot legally be waived. Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove a non-waivable statutory remedy.
25. Electronic Acceptance
Checkout, payment, clicking an acceptance control, or otherwise enrolling after being presented with these Terms constitutes electronic acceptance to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
26. Entire Agreement and Priority
These Terms, our Refund & Guarantee Policy, Privacy Policy, Legal Notice and any signed written Program agreement form the agreement concerning your purchase. A signed agreement that expressly changes a provision controls over these website Terms for that specific client. Sales-page summaries and FAQs are intended to summarize these documents, not expand the guarantees beyond the written terms.
27. Severability and No Waiver
If a provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law. A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.
